Steve Sarkisian again taking heat on social media as Texas's embarrassing season continues
Steve Sarkisian and the Texas Longhorns are having just about the worst season anyone could have expected.
Entering Saturday’s game at West Virginia, the Longhorns were 4-6 and needed to win to keep their bowl hopes alive. Instead, they lost to the Mountaineers, 31-23.
Naturally, Texas fans aren’t a patient bunch. So, you can imagine how the reaction went on social media.
Below, you can see some of the reactions on Twitter calling for Sark to be fired after only 1 year in Austin:
Please fire sark

I’ve seen enough of this train wreck stuff for the last decade to know that what’s happening in Austin isn’t just first year struggles. If Texas starts seeing decommits flood in then you fire Sark and move on. They have the money to do it. Don’t let another 4 years pass.

I know a lot of people want to blame the players, but I just don't think Sark is a good fit for Texas. Great OC, but his head coaching history has me nervous. Where is the fire?? Sark is too sadidy to me. This team has not gotten better. #Frustration #HookEm ??

Tom Herman never had a losing season in four years and Steve Sarkisian is going to do it in Year 1

Can Sark get tarmacked in only one season???
— The U Fan Cast (@TheUFanCast) November 20, 2021
I get it’s his first year and needs to get his guys in the program but Sark you absolutely need to have the QB spot solidified by week 10 no if ands or buts about it

Fire Sark.#HookEm

Will the Longhorns actually pull the trigger and end the Sarkisian era after only 1 season? That would be crazy, but crazier things have certainly happened.
Falling to 4-7 and missing a bowl game isn’t going to sit well in Austin.
