Former Florida and South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier never misses an opportunity to troll another fan base.
Since news broke of Texas and Oklahoma planning to leave the Big 12 to join the SEC, Spurrier has had the Longhorns in his crosshairs.
During an appearance on “The Paul Finebaum Show” on Thursday, the Head Ball Coach once again trolled Texas for its lack of success in the Big 12 in recent years:
"If you're going to struggle in the Big 12, you might as well struggle in the SEC." – @SteveSpurrierUF on the Longhorns move.

When it came to the Sooners, though, Spurrier actually had some nice things to say about Lincoln Riley’s squad:

“They’re looking forward to it. I think maybe winning Big 12 championships at Oklahoma has gotten a little old,” he said. “They’re looking for a new challenge and I think it’s going to be interesting. I think they’re going to compete. They’re going to compete for championships in the SEC.”
We’ll see if Spurrier is right about the Longhorns struggling and the Sooners competing when their SEC moves become official.
