WATCH: B1G head coach wanted no part of postgame handshake after upset loss
The No. 18 Michigan State was one of three ranked teams to lose Saturday. The Arizona State Sun Devils went to East Lansing and defeated the Spartans 10-7.
In what was figured to be a snooze-fest, Week 3 turned more interesting than not.
Michigan State led 7-3 late in the game before a touchdown gave Arizona State the lead with less than a minute remaining. However, the Spartans moved into field goal position rather quickly.
Then, things got weird.
The Spartans drilled the game-tying field goal, but they had 12 men on the field. Following the penalty, Michigan State missed the field goal as time expired.
Following the game, it left a bitter taste in head coach Mark Dantonio’s mouth, and he didn’t want any part of the postgame handshake with Herm Edwards.
Herm Edwards: “Mark, great game, your team played awesome.”
Mark Dantonio: “Yeah, thanks, sure. Now get outta here.”#ASU #MichiganState pic.twitter.com/r0XLggxWHP

Dantonio is certainly drawing some criticism for this move from around the country.
