Zach Evans, a former Georgia commit, will enter transfer portal, per report
Zach Evans has had a volatile journey through his recruiting process, and into college, and now that reaches another twist with a report that the TCU running back will enter the transfer portal, 247Sports reported.
The former 5-star running back spent 2 seasons in Fort Worth, finishing his Horned Frog career with 1,063 yards and nine touchdowns on 7.3 yards per carry. Evans averaged 7 yards per carry this season on 93 attempts, which was the fifth-best clip in all of college football.
Sources indicated to 247Sports that name, image and likeness will play a big role in picking Evans’ next destination.
Two years ago, Evans told reporters at the Under Armour All-American Game that he signed with a college team during the Early Signing Period, and it turned out to be Georgia. However, Evans did not announce his college decision as previously scheduled during the all-star game. Evans said postgame he “can’t answer” questions about his college decision.
Georgia ultimately gave Evans an unconditional release.
