Jim Boeheim criticized on social media after Syracuse’s loss to Wake Forest in ACC Tournament

Jim Boeheim is Syracuse. He built the Orange into what they are today, winning a national title in the process.
But at 77 years old, Boeheim has faced questions about whether or not he should retire in recent years. Calls for him to step aside will only intensify after the Orange lost in buzzer-beating fashion to Wake Forest at the ACC Tournament in Greensboro on Wednesday afternoon.
Here’s a look at the shot from Wake’s Daivien Williamson that likely ended Syracuse’s 2022-23 season:

I pity the poor person who asks Boeheim about retirement in this post-game. https://t.co/ZwP6pGSQ1B

Jim Boeheim just lost to this “bought” Wake Forest team in his beloved city of Greensboro on a buzzer beater to possibly end his career https://t.co/YYkZLCI9hS

Jim Boeheim is 77. He was the head coach at Syracuse when Franco Harris was starting at fullback for the Steelers. It’s time. It’s over. It’s done with.

Jim Boeheim's existence is so funny. Schedules Finger Lakes Community College and an Ithaca high school JV team in non-conference and still can only get to 17 wins while embarrassing himself all season long.

Syracuse will never again be a competitive program until Jim Boeheim retires.
he needs to go. @SyracuseU stop accepting his mediocrity and lack of accountability.

Syracuse finished the season with an overall record of 17-15, going 10-10 in ACC play during the regular season.
There are some major questions that will need to be answered at Syracuse this offseason, starting with the future of the legendary head coach.
The Orange haven’t been to the NCAA Tournament for the last 2 years now and haven’t won 20 games in a season since 2018-19. We’ll see what the future holds for the Orange after another disappointing season.
