The Orange Bowl had lacked big plays from Texas A&M for much of the game. But Devon Achane delivered a big one just when the Aggies needed it.

Late in the fourth quarter, on first and 10 from the A&M 24, Achane bounced outside to the sideline, and raced up the line for a 76-yard touchdown to give the Aggies a 34-27 lead over North Carolina in Miami with 3:44 remaining in the game. The Aggies defense then got a key stop to get the ball back on the next possession.

That gave Achane nine carries for 106 yards in the game, as the Aggies surpassed 200 yards rushing as the continued to put more pressure on the Tar Heels defense.

In a tightly played game where the Aggies led 17-13 at halftime, they reeled off 17 fourth-quarter points to pull away after UNC bottled them up in the third quarter.

Achane later tacked on another score as the Aggies built a two-touchdown margin with 1:34 remaining.
