Ainias Smith left Texas A&M’s victory over Arkansas on Saturday night after getting his leg rolled up on.

He appeared to be in a lot of pain as he entered the injury tent and was later spotted talking with his father on the sidelines and getting emotional.

However, it seems there’s some positive news for Smith and the Aggies. During an Instagram Live session following the game, Smith said it’s a high ankle sprain he’s dealing with:

Obviously, that’s still a painful injury for Smith to try to work his way back from, and one that could hurt his ability to cut and reach his top speed. But, the good news is this likely won’t be a season-ending injury for Smith.

How long will Smith be out while he deals with his ankle injury? We’ll see what sort of updates coach Jimbo Fisher provides this coming week. But, getting the talented playmaker back in the fold soon will be critical for the Aggies’ success moving forward.
