Anthony Hill, 5-star 2023 prospect ranked No. 1 LB, announces SEC commitment

Anthony Hill Jr. is taking his talents to College Station. The 5-star class of 2023 prospect announced his commitment to Texas A&M on Saturday.

Hill, out of Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, is listed at 6-2, 225 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Hill is rated 5-stars, the No. 1 linebacker and No. 2 Lone Star State recruit in the class of 2023. A 2021 scouting report from 247Sports describes Hill as an “athletic, physical, violent off-ball linebacker who occasionally steps to the line of scrimmage.”
During his recruitment, Hill picked up 33 scholarship offers. Late last month, Hill narrowed his recruitment down to Texas and Texas A&M. He also showed interest in Alabama, Oklahoma and USC.
Texas A&M now has 7 players committed in its 2023 class. Four of those pledges are in the top-80 overall prospects on the Composite, with Hill being the first 5-star commit in the Aggies class. Hill’s 2021 highlights from his junior season can be viewed below, via Hudl:
