When former Texas A&M DE Myles Garrett was chosen by the Cleveland Browns with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft, he immediately set his sights on Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger.
Garrett will have two games this season to accomplish his goal of sacking the two-time Super Bowl champion, and Big Ben eagerly awaits his first meeting with the talented rookie.
According to ESPN.com, Roethlisberger said he and his linemen look forward to the challenge of matching up with Garrett and the Browns this fall:
“I was talking to [Maurkice Pouncey] after Garrett called me out,” Roethlisberger said. “Pounce got a big kick out of it. All of my linemen enjoyed hearing it. They can’t wait to get started. I can’t, either.”
Garrett won’t have to wait long to get his first shot at Big Ben. The Steelers travel to Cleveland to take on the Browns in the season opener on Sunday, Sept. 10.
