Christian Kirk voices approval for Jaguars going for 2 for the win Sunday
Christian Kirk loved the Jacksonville Jaguars’ decision to go for the win against the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday.
Late in the 4th quarter, the Jaguars trailed the Ravens 27-20. After marching down the field and scoring on a 10-yard TD pass to Marvin Jones, the Jaguars were an extra point away from a tie ballgame.
However, coach Doug Pederson had other ideas. The team decided to go for 2 and it worked. Trevor Lawrence found Zay Jones in the end zone for the go-ahead score. After the game, Kirk was asked about the decision.
“That’s Doug. That’s been him since the day he got in here,” said Kirk. “He believes in us, he said from day 1, I’m gonna be aggressive.”
“It’s about players, not plays”
Christian Kirk LOVED Doug Pederson’s decision to go for two. Moreover, it kept with what Doug has told them all along: he’s going to be aggressive b/c he believes in them #Jaguars | #DUUUVAL pic.twitter.com/RctSk24ujj

Kirk referenced Pederson’s philosophy of “It’s about players, not plays.” The bold call improved the Jaguars to 4-7 on the season.
