Comeback SZN continues: Johnny Manziel signs with AAF, team to be determined
Former Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel recently got banned from the CFL for reasons that are unclear.
However, he has apparently landed on his feet and could soon return to the gridiron, as he has reportedly signed with the Alliance of American Football.
Per ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Manziel’s team has yet to be determined, as the San Antonio Commanders opted not to sign him:

Johnny Manziel now will go through the AAF waiver system since the San Antonio Commanders released his college allocation rights. Lowest win-loss percentage up first for Johnny Football.

Based on where Manziel played college (Texas A&M), San Antonio held his rights. However, perhaps the Memphis Express or another team needs a former Heisman winner.
Manziel could soon be back on the field, but for now, he’s still waiting for a team to give him a call.
