Conner Weigman connects with Noah Thomas for Texas A&M's first TD of 2023 season
Conner Weigman is wasting no time connecting with his top receivers.
The sophomore QB threw a perfect pass to the back of the end zone for a 15-yard TD to start things off for the 2023 Aggies. Noah Thomas was on the other end of the pass and came down with a strong catch.
So smooth. 1️⃣5️⃣ → 3️⃣.

The score put the Aggies on the board for the first time in 2023. The Aggies are heavy favorites in the home opener against the New Mexico Lobos. At the end of the first quarter, the Aggies held a 7-0 lead.
Weigman won the starting job this summer after starting 5 games last season. The young QB completed 55.3% of his passes for 896 yards and 8 TDs with zero interceptions. Coming into the 2023 season, Weigman was competing with redshirt sophomore Max Johnson for the job. Jimbo Fisher announced that Weigman had officially won the job last Monday.
Thomas only had 5 receptions last season but still found the end zone twice. Thomas figures to be a key piece of the Aggie offense next to Evan Stewart and Ainias Smith.
If the Aggies can take care of business against the Lobos, they will head to Miami to take on the Hurricanes with a 1-0 record.
