We could all use as much good news as possible during these difficult times and the latest batch of uplifting information comes from the Lone Star State as Texas A&M chancellor John Sharp shared some interesting news on Thursday.

According to Sharp, Texas A&M is aiming to reopen all 11 university campuses in the fall and currently plans to be ready for the upcoming college football season The Texas Tribune is reporting.

This news comes as leaders from Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Missouri have all issued similar comments — while noting that the safety of students and facility on campus will be the priority in terms of reopening campuses across the South in the fall.

The Southeastern Conference has currently banned all sports activities through May 31. What the league will do beyond that date has yet to be determined while league Commissioner Greg Sankey stated on Wednesday that the league has not given up on holding its annual upcoming Media Days event from Atlanta in July.
