Tuesday was the first cut-down day in the NFL occurred, making teams trim their training camp rosters from 90 to 85 players.

Former Texas A&M linebacker Anthony Hines was part of Dallas’ roster moves to get down to 85. The Cowboys waived Hines with an injury designation. If Hines clears waivers, he will revert to the Cowboys’ injured list.

Hines last played for Texas A&M in 2019, his sophomore season. He opted out of the 2020 season and joined the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent. Hines was hurt in the second half of the Cowboys’ preseason game this past weekend.
