Fire Jimbo Fisher? Texas A&M fans, media react after Aggies' disappointing loss at Miami
Fire Jimbo Fisher? That’s something Texas A&M fans were ready to do last year, despite the embattled coach’s massive buyout.
But after taking a 17-7 lead at Miami on Saturday, only to watch it completely fall apart in an eventual 48-33 loss to the Hurricanes, the Aggies are in trouble once again.
Fans are certainly fed up with Fisher and his staff. As you might imagine, social media reaction to Texas A&M’s latest misstep has been less than generous to the Aggies’ head coach.
Here’s a sampling of what is being said on social media after Texas A&M fell to 1-1 on the season:

How much is Texas A&M willing right now to pay to fire Jimbo Fisher and also hire Deion Sanders away from Colorado at the same time? pic.twitter.com/asCJkfoxJg

Obviously, this one loss doesn’t sink Texas A&M’s whole season. But it is a massive step back for a team that many fans had high hopes for in 2023.
Can Fisher and the Aggies right the ship moving forward? Or is this a sign of more disappointment to come in College Station? We’ll find out in the coming weeks, but expect plenty of discussion about Jimbo Fisher’s future this week.
