Last week, former Texas A&M LB Santino Marchiol made some serious allegations against coach Jimbo Fisher and his staff in a waiver request to the NCAA.

Marchiol was trying to gain immediate eligibility at Arizona, where he followed ex-A&M coach Kevin Sumlin this offseason, but now it appears that won’t be the case.

On Monday, Sumlin said he had informed Marchiol that he was no longer on the team — a surprising development:

Now, there will be plenty of speculation about what this means for the allegations Marchiol leveled against A&M. Were they true? Or, did Sumlin find out that Marchiol lied, leading to the dismissal?

It’s likely that more news will come out in the coming days about this decision, so we’ll have to wait and see what happens next.
