Former Texas A&M offensive lineman Ryan McCollum was signed to the Detroit Lions active roster on Tuesday evening, according to the team’s official Twitter account.

The center was signed off of the Houston Texans practice squad, per the Detroit tweet just after 6 p.m. (ET):

McCollum, 23, started 24 games in 4 years playing for the Aggies. He was signed this week by Detroit after the Lions sustained a rash of injuries along their offensive line in recent weeks.

As Pro Football Talk notes, McCollum inked a free agent deal with the Texans after going undrafted last spring. He received a $25,000 signing bonus along with a base salary of $125,000.

In 2020, McCollum started all 10 games at center for Texas A&M, playing in 690 total snaps in his final collegiate season.
