Former No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel has started 40 games during his four NFL seasons.
But now, the ex-Texas A&M offensive lineman will likely miss the rest of the season after suffering a major knee injury during last weekend’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Jacksonville coach Gus Bradley said the team would miss the former Aggie, according to the team’s website:
“It’s unfortunate,” Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley said Tuesday as the team gathered at EverBank Field during its 2016 bye week. “Your heart and soul goes out to him.”
Joeckel has struggled in his time with the Jaguars, but had seemingly found a home at left guard in 2016. It remains to be seen if the Jags will keep him on the roster beyond this season.
