Gary Danielson receives backlash after wild comparison on Alabama at Texas A&M broadcast

Gary Danielson enjoys comparing players, especially within the SEC. But fans watching the CBS broadcast of Alabama at Texas A&M immediately took issue with the color analyst.

Danielson compared Jake Johnson, a growing contributor on the Texas A&M offense, to All-American Brock Bowers, the star tight end at Georgia.

Johnson made 2 catches for 22 yards and a touchdown. But the irritation likely stems from the fact that Johnson isn’t the most dangerous player on his own team, on offense, much less as talented or tough for opponents as Bowers.

But that wasn’t the only problem fans had with Danielson. There was also the usual Alabama bias that he was accused of in the first half.
