The Green Bay Packers drafted former Texas A&M TE Jace Sternberger in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft.

However, his time in Green Bay is reportedly coming to an end 2 weeks into the 2021 season.

Per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, the Packers are waiving the young tight end this week:

Sternberger had 3 catches for 15 yards and a touchdown in the 2019 postseason. In the 2020 regular season, he had 12 catches for 114 yards and 1 score.

Sternberger was suspended by the NFL for a violation of its substance abuse policy. He missed the first 2 games of this year.

He had yet to record a catch during the 2021 season. We’ll see where the former Aggie ends up next as the 2021 campaign rolls on.
