Jaylon Jones, Texas A&M DB, announces decision for 2023 season

Jaylon Jones is ending his Texas A&M career after 3 seasons. The Aggie defensive back has announced he will enter the 2023 NFL Draft.

Jones shared his decision on social media Sunday. A 3-year starter, Jones played in 32 games over 3 seasons at Texas A&M.

As a freshman, he snagged his first-career interception against LSU and had 2 pass breakups in the Orange Bowl win over North Carolina. In his sophomore season, Jones finished second on the team with 8 passes defended (6 pass breakups, 2 interceptions). He contributed 5 tackles in Texas A&M’s 2021 win over Alabama.

Jones started his junior year with a bang, recording 9 tackles in the win over Miami. His last time out in maroon, Jones had 2 tackles in the upset win over LSU. He finished the year with 33 tackles and 2 pass breakups.

For his career, Jones recorded 98 tackles, including 2 for loss and 17 passes defended with 2 interceptions.
