Since Texas A&M’s game with Ole Miss this week was called off, and Ohio State’s game with Michigan was also taken off Saturday’s schedule, the most popular question for college football fans and media this week is would the Aggies play the Buckeyes?

Ohio State is No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings, while Texas A&M is No. 5. To many, it seems logical to pit them against each other, instead of both teams sitting at home without an opponent.

Coach Jimbo Fisher addressed that during a segment with Jacob Hester and Chris Doering on College Sports on SiriusXM.

“You’d be considerate, but I think on Wednesday, you’re being a little crazy with it,” Fisher said. “You know that from game preparation, to get the quality game you want to do, because if you want to go into that game for both of us, there’s a lot on the line. You would want to be prepared for the game. Now to play them? Yeah, it doesn’t bother me to play them, I’d love to play them, play them in the Playoff. Line up and play them, whatever it is. But I think on a Wednesday would be a very tough thing to do on a game that means so much.”
