Jimbo Fisher had high praise for Lane Kiffin’s playcalling abilities ahead of Texas A&M’s meeting with Ole Miss on Saturday.

The Rebels’ have carved out a 7-1 start to the season, and a lot of their success has come from Kiffin’s ability to make the right calls on offense.

Fisher credited Kiffin for his ability to make plays work for his team and get the best out of the talent that he has.

“He’s always done a good job,” Fisher said during the SEC coaches teleconference Wednesday. “When you’ve got good people and you’ve got good guys, always that way in anything you do. Everybody has tendencies, everybody has tendencies and everybody breaks tendencies, I mean that’s what you get, you get tendencies of things you do well, and things you don’t do as well. When you break tendencies, you hope that it hurts them and for big plays but guys all believe in certain things, if you don’t have tendencies when you’re calling games or your offense or defense, you’re not believing in anything, you’re probably not executing anything.”

Ole Miss is looking for another win after winning its last 4 games following the loss to Alabama. The Rebels have a tough November slate ahead of them, but if they can win some big games, they could find their way into the CFP competition.

Texas A&M is looking for the signature win that it has yet to find this season, but it’s going to be a tough game to do it. The Aggies have struggled on the road this season, and Ole Miss has played well at home.
