Jimbo Fisher comments on missed FG attempt as time expired: 'Kicked it one inch too low'
Jimbo Fisher went back and watched the tape, apparently.
Randy Bond missed what would have been the game-tying field goal in the final seconds of Week 10’s SEC West matchup against Ole Miss. The ball fell just in front of the crossbar and Texas A&M walked away with another tick in the loss column, 38-35.
The kick was just barely grazed by an Ole Miss defender. One inch higher and that ball likely makes it over the uprights by a slim margin.

On Monday, Fisher was asked about Bond’s attempt. He told reporters that he simply kicked it “one inch too low.”

It is a game of inches, after all. Fisher harped on needing that extra inch more than once Monday:
Texas A&M head coach Jimbo Fisher: “We had a heck of a game. We had opportunities in all three phases, whether it be offense, defense or special teams, that could have put us over the top.”
“We have to find that inch on that one play or two plays.”
