Jimbo Fisher on young Aggies rotation: 'We got to learn, and we got to learn quick'
Texas A&M didn’t exactly disappoint Saturday, but they didn’t light the world on fire either. The Aggies couldn’t do anything on offense for much of the first quarter, but eventually figured it out in time for a 31-0 rout.
The Aggies also played a lot of freshmen Saturday, 19 to be exact. Fisher spoke on his young team on the Jimbo Fisher Radio Show Wednesday.
“We played 19 true freshmen, nine redshirt freshmen, and that was in the rotation of the game,” Fisher said. “We’re a talented team, but we’re a young football team. We got to learn, and we got to learn quick.”
Texas A&M battles against Appalachian State next Saturday. The Mountaineers narrowly pulled off an upset win over North Carolina in Week 1.
It’s a slight boost in competition from last week. Let’s see how the Aggies fare.
