Jimbo Fisher gave his latest updates on the Texas A&M quarterbacks as the Aggies try to stop a losing skid with Ole Miss on tap this week.

The Aggies dealt with a quarterback change at South Carolina when Haynes King left with an apparent shoulder injury. Fisher said on the SEC coaches media teleconference that the shoulder recovered really well, he’s moved well, and he’s available for this week’s game against Ole Miss.

Fisher also praised Conner Weigman’s performance as he came in when King left the game.

“When Conner got out there, I thought he had a real nice grasp on things. … I thought he played with a lot of poise. Made a lot of nice throws in the game. You could see his arm talent. … I thought he did an excellent job.”

Fisher is also well aware of the Ole Miss running game led by Quinshon Judkins and Zach Evans.

“They’re both in the top 5 in the league in rushing,” Fisher said. “They’re powerful, they’re quick. They can stick their foot in the ground. … Very gifted guys.”
