Jimbo Fisher praises Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond's development: 'He's one tough sucker'
The Texas A&M Aggies face a brutal schedule in Jimbo Fisher’s second year at the helm of the program, taking on Clemson, Alabama and Georgia this season.
If they are going to navigate that tough slate of games and accomplish something special, they’ll need QB Kellen Mond to take a leap from good to great.
On Tuesday night, during a speaking engagement at Dallas Coach’s Night, coach Jimbo Fisher had high praise for the talented quarterback, saying he’s everything you want a quarterback to be:
Mond threw for 3,107 yards, 24 touchdowns and nine interceptions in 2018. Facing those elite defenses mentioned above (in addition to LSU, Auburn and the rest of the SEC West), Mond will need to improve to put up similar numbers this fall.
Fisher believes in him, so we’ll see this fall if that faith is rewarded.
