Jimbo Fisher says Aggies' leading tackler is 'doubtful' for Gator Bowl
Senior LB Otaro Alaka has been a star for the Texas A&M defense the past three seasons, leading the team in tackles in 2018.
However, it appears that he won’t be able to suit up for his final game as an Aggie, as he has been battling a hand injury.
Per a tweet from TexAgs, Alaka is doubtful to play against NC State when the Aggies take the field for the Gator Bowl on New Year’s Eve:
Coach Jimbo Fisher told @olinbuchanan at pre-bowl practice that LB Otaro Alaka (hand) is doubtful to play in the Gator Bowl. Buddy Johnson is expected to start in his place.

Alaka had 79 tackles this season, including 14.5 for a loss, four sacks and a forced fumble.
His presence in the middle of the Aggie defense will be missed against the Wolfpack.
