Johnny Manziel makes debut in new Fan Controlled Football league
The Fan Controlled Football league has kicked off, and that means Heisman-winning former Texas A&M QB Johnny Manziel is back on the gridiron.
Even if that gridiron is only 50 yards long (not including the end zones), it’s always exciting to have Johnny Football back in action.
As you can see below, he wasted no time making his presence felt. His first snap for the Zappers nearly went for a touchdown:

Later in the game, he did end up finding the end zone on a short run:

The Zappers lost to the Beasts 48-44, but Manziel was in a good mood after the game, which was played in Duluth, Georgia (via USA TODAY):
“The product will keep getting better as the weeks go on,’’ Manziel said. “Good start even with the loss. You know, win or lose we booze on the Zappers.’’
Manziel only completed 1 of his 5 pass attempts for 11 yards, but he did add 67 rushing yards and a touchdown on the play above.
