Kellen Mond draws shoutout from Johnny Manziel after strong Orange Bowl performance

In Saturday night’s Orange Bowl win over North Carolina, Texas A&M QB Kellen Mond didn’t have his best game.
He threw for 232 yards, 0 touchdowns and 0 interceptions, but he did have 36 rushing yards and a score on the ground in the Aggies’ 41-27 victory.
Mond has now accounted for 93 total touchdowns in his A&M career, tying him with Johnny Manziel atop the all-time leaderboard for the Aggies. That led the former Heisman winner himself to take to Twitter to congratulate Mond:
What a career for @TheKellenMond if this is the end. Couldn’t be more proud of my dude. You a ? in my book big dog love you
— Johnny Manziel (@JManziel2) January 3, 2021
Of course, Manziel piled up his 93 touchdowns in just 2 seasons while Mond has done it in 4 seasons, but it’s an impressive number to reach, nonetheless.
Will Mond come back in 2021 to break the record? He has the option, so we’ll see what he decides.
