Kellen Mond hasn’t been practicing much with the Minnesota Vikings recently due to an issue with COVID-19.

Still, on Saturday against the Denver Broncos, Mond, a former Texas A&M star quarterback, made his NFL debut. His first drive wasn’t much to write home about, as he went 0-for-2 passing and the Vikings didn’t score.

But, during his second drive, Mond completed his first NFL pass. It went for 18 yards and a first down, caught by former Kentucky RB AJ Rose Jr. Mond had to dance around in the pocket a bit to find a window for this throw:

Mond went on to march the Vikings down the field on the drive. He put together 2 completions for 31 yards and also had an 8-yard run. The drive ended with a field goal as time expired in the second quarter.

The Vikings trail the Broncos 26-6, but Mond will try to lead them back in the second half.
