Over the offseason, Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin had a decision to make on which quarterback to go all in on: Kellen Mond or Jarrett Stidham?

Sumlin opted for Mond instead of Stidham in the recruiting process, and since then, Mond has won the starting quarterback job for the Aggies.

Mond has thrown for 1,281 yards this season to go along with seven touchdown passes and six interceptions. He has a 50.7 percent completion rate.

Stidham, of course, is now the starting quarterback at Auburn, a team which Sumlin and A&M will host on Saturday at Noon ET on ESPN.

Stidham has thrown for 1,728 yards this season. He’s got eight touchdown tosses, three interceptions and a 65.8 percent completion rate.

On Tuesday, Sumlin reportedly opted to not discuss the recruitment of Stidham last offseason, although he did mention him as a high school prospect. Stidham, of course, signed with Baylor and coach Art Briles out of high school.
