Kevin Sumlin remembers Will Muschamp's College Station slam, urges fans to return the favor
Texas A&M head coach Kevin Sumlin has clearly not forgotten Will Muschamp’s comments about College Station.
Muschamp was head coach of the Florida Gators in 2012 when the team was getting set to square off against Sumlin and the Aggies when a verbal feud broke out between the two coaches.
Muschamp, who previously coached against the Aggies while with Texas, began the feud when he took a shot at College Station, Texas.
“You ever been to College Station?” Muschamp said. “It’ll be the only time you go.”
It is now five years since that feud began. Muschamp is now the head coach of the South Carolina Gamecocks, but Sumlin clearly remembers the comments well. He urged Aggies fans to be prepared for to return the welcome to the Gamecocks.
Brent Zwerneman with the Houston Chronicle shared Sumlin’s recent remarks on Twitter:
Kevin Sumlin on radio show on Will Muschamp: We all know how much he loves College Station. We need to give him a College Station welcome

Both teams are unranked and looking to gain some momentum in the SEC. Sumlin’s comments will add a little extra drama and bad blood to the matchup.
Saturday’s kickoff is set for 7:30 pm EST on the SEC Network.
