No. 2 Clemson remained undefeated on Saturday night, heading to College Station and taking down the Texas A&M Aggies, but it wasn’t easy.

In fact, the Aggies nearly pulled off the massive upset, coming up just short in the 28-26 loss. However, there were plenty of positives to take away from the game.

After calling the game, ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit said he likes what he’s seeing from QB Kellen Mond and the A&M receivers:

Mond completed 23 of his 40 passes for 430 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions on Saturday night — impressive numbers against a defense like Clemson’s. He also ran for 33 yards to lead the Aggies.

The sophomore still has room to improve, but it seems Jimbo Fisher has himself a great quarterback at A&M.
