Kirk Herbstreit unveiled his top performing players from Week 6 of college football, and 1 SEC player made his weekly list.

That was Texas A&M quarterback Zach Calzada after he led the Aggies to an upset of Alabama on Saturday at Kyle Field. His numbers against the Crimson Tide didn’t jump off the page but were solid, as he was 21-of-31 for 285 yards and 3 touchdowns versus 1 interception.

But despite an apparent knee injury after leading a game-tying drive with 3 minutes remaining, he returned for the final drive to set up Seth Small’s game-winning 28-yard field goal. Texas A&M’s win earned them the top spot among Herbstreit’s top-performing teams from Week 6.
