LISTEN: Trayveon Williams talks about game-winning run vs. Kentucky, Jimbo Fisher's reaction
After Kentucky missed a field goal to start overtime in College Station on Saturday night, all the Texas A&M Aggies needed to do was score to win the game.
That’s exactly what they did, courtesy of a 10-yard run by star RB Trayveon Williams.
On Monday, Williams joined ESPNU Radio on SiriusXM to discuss his game-winning run. As you can hear in the clip below, he also talked about coach Jimbo Fisher’s reaction to the play:

“It was tough, man,” he said. “I gotta give a lot of respect to Kentucky — they have a great defensive front. They got the best of us sometimes, and we got the best of them. … (The game-winning run) was a simple inside zone — I just followed the fullback. On that play, wherever Cullen Gillespie goes, I just run off his butt. He had a great block, the offensive line got some movement, and I just went off his butt, made a guy miss, jumped over a guy and got in the end zone. …
“Coach Fisher was excited. He’s excited to be able to call him our coach. I’m excited to call him my coach as well. He said we went out there and gutted it out.”
Things are going well in College Station these days, despite only a 4-2 record. A&M has only lost to No. 1 Alabama and then-No. 2 Clemson. With Williams and Fisher leading the way, it could be a big year for the Aggies.
