Grant Gunnell is one of the top quarterback prospects in the 2019 recruiting class, and he was being heavily pursued by a few SEC teams, including Texas A&M.

However, on Wednesday, former Texas A&M coach Kevin Sumlin managed a huge score, landing Gunnell’s commitment and bringing the one-time Aggie target to Arizona.

As you can see below, Gunnell announced his decision via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon:

According to the 247Sports composite, Gunnell is the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the class of 2019 and the No. 13 overall recruit from the state of Texas.

For new A&M coach Jimbo Fisher, this is a surprise, as Fisher has been landing a lot of the Lone Star State’s top talent.
