Max Johnson has made his transfer decision, and he’s staying within the SEC West.

The former LSU quarterback will join his brother, Jake, an incoming freshman tight end who this week signed with Texas A&M out of high school. The brothers will, in fact, play with each other in college after all after they previously planned to play together at LSU. Jake was a previous LSU commitment when Max was still on the LSU roster.

Max Johnson was named the Tigers’ starting quarterback following an injury to Myles Brennan before the season. He played in 12 games in 2021 and threw for 2,814 yards and 27 touchdowns with just 6 interceptions
