Former Texas A&M teammates Johnny Manziel and Mike Evans faced off for the first time in their NFL careers during Sunday’s game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cleveland Browns. Despite falling on the losing end, Evans– now a member of the Buccanneers– saw a season-best 124 yards and two touchdowns on seven catches.
One of Evans’ touchdowns came midway through the second quarter. The rookie receiver caught a 24-yard pass from Mike Glennon, giving the Buccaneers a 7-6 lead.
Following the scoring play, Evans celebrated by doing the money sign gesture, in tribute to his former teammate.
There were no hard feelings from Manziel, however, who praised his former teammate’s performance via Twitter and Instagram.

Manziel, who did not play during his team’s 22-17 win Sunday, will grace the cover of the December 2014 edition of Golf Digest.
