Myles Garrett was involved in a single-car accident Monday afternoon. The Cleveland Browns star defender was taken to the hospital after his 2021 Porsche flipped multiple times before stopping. Garrett’s injuries were reported to be minor.

Hours after the initial report, Garrett’s agent, Nicole Lynn, shared a statement on Twitter:

“Myles Garrett was involved in a one-car accident this afternoon and was transported to a local hospital to be medically evaluated. While we are waiting to learn the extent of his injuries, he has been alert and responsive. The Garrett family would like to thank the medical personnel that got Myles and his passenger out of the vehicle and safely transported to the hospital.”

Garrett has spent the entirety of his NFL career in Cleveland. The Browns selected the former Texas A&M standout No. 1 overall in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Through Week 3 of the 2022 NFL season, Garrett’s Browns have a 2-1 record. So far, Garrett has recorded 3 sacks, 4 tackles for loss and 5 QB hits.

Hopefully, Garrett recovers quickly and is able to play soon.
