New Texas A&M AD Ross Bjork shares thoughts on renewing football rivalry with Texas
New Texas A&M AD Ross Bjork held his introductory press conference on Monday afternoon, and after that was over, he met with reporters in smaller groups.
One of the hot-button issues facing A&M these days is whether or not the football rivalry with Texas will return, if ever.
Bjork was asked about renewing the rivalry, but gave a non-committal answer, saying they’ll do what’s best for the Aggies:
As far as A&M playing Texas in football, Ross Bjork said he knows A&M's schedule is full for nearly next decade, & he intends to visit w/ Jimbo Fisher and A&M president Michael Young to gauge their interest. Bottom line, Bjork said: 'We're going to do what's best for Texas A&M'

Combine that with his comments about A&M’s schedule being full for most of the next decade, and it doesn’t sound good for the Longhorn-Aggie rivalry.
Many fans in the state will continue to root for it to return, though, so we’ll see if the two sides eventually come back together on the gridiron.
