Over the last half-decade, Texas A&M has emerged as an NFL hotbed.

In the last four years, six Aggies have been chosen in the first round, with at least one in every draft since 2011. That includes three first round selections last year, when the offensive core of Jake Matthews, Mike Evans and Johnny Manziel all were chosen on the first night of the draft.

Prior to their current run, which could extend to five straight years with a first round pick if Cedric Ogbuehi sneaks into the bottom of the round on Thursday, the Aggies sent several long-tenured role players to the league. Players like Martellus Bennett, Red Bryant and Johnny Jolly have enjoyed long NFL careers that are still going.

In total, Texas A&M has produced 28 total picks over the last 10 NFL drafts and has had at least one player chosen in nine of those 10 years, with 2007 as the only exception.

One of Ogbuehi’s offensive line mates, guard Jarvis Harrison, has a chance to be a late-round selection as well. If he’s chosen, that would make four straight years that multiple Aggies have been chosen in the draft.
