Notre Dame confirms defensive coordinator Mike Elko has accepted Texas A&M job
It’s official, Mike Elko is headed to College Station.
You don’t have to take our word for it, Notre Dame head coach Brian Kelly has confirmed the news following the initial report broken by TexAgs’ Billy Liucci. In Elko, the Aggies are getting a rising star in the coaching and recruiting world. Considering Jimbo Fisher’s expertise is on the offensive side of the ball, it’s fair to say this hire would be the most critical of his initial staff in College Station.
Kelly released the following statement on Twitter confirming he had lost his coveted defensive coordinator after having him on staff for only one season.

These are the coaches officially announced by A&M Wednesday:
Offensive coordinator/QB coach: Darrell Dickey
Tight ends coach: Tim Brewster

Running backs coach: Jay Graham
Offensive line coach: Jim Turner
