Take this, Longhorns.

Texas A&M took the crown of Texas colleges with the most players on NFL rosters now that pro football teams have released their rosters as they get prepared for Week 1 this week. The Aggies put 28 players on NFL rosters this go around, while the Longhorns had 24. Still, impressively, there were 15 colleges represented.

Some of the higher profile players for the Aggies are Denver’s Von Miller, Arizona’s Christian Kirk and Cleveland’s Myles Garrett. Some newcomers include Baltimore defensive tackle Justin Madubuike and New York Jet punter Braden Mann as rookies who made it.

Some inspiring stories came from linebackers Otaro Alaka and Tyrel Dodson who were the two leading tacklers on the 2018 Aggies. Alaka had been injured during parts of his career and Dodson was undersized, though still put up impressive numbers, especially as a sophomore. Dodson declared early for the draft, then went undrafted.

Even so, both players signed as free agents, Dodson with the Buffalo Bills and Alaka with the Baltimore Ravens
