Report: Former Texas A&M RB Christine Michael to be released by Packers
After the results of last weekend’s NFL Draft, one thing is abundantly clear: the Packers did not like their running backs. For the first time since 1974, the Packers took three running backs in the same draft, which made things a bit awkward for former Texas A&M RB Christine Michael.
Michael, who signed a one-year, $800,000 deal this past offseason after being sent over from Seattle, will have to find his next NFL destination sooner than expected.

The Packers’ running backs were a bit of a conundrum last year due to the injury of Eddie Lacy, as they attempted to fill his production by any means available. Green Bay eventually added Michael, as well as former Arkansas RB Knile Davis to patch up the hole, but ultimately wound up converting WR Ty Montgomery into a running back to end the season.
The future is unclear for Michael, who led the Seahawks with 469 rushing yards last season, but that production should see him find a home soon.
