Recently, Denver Broncos star LB Von Miller was on a fishing trip, where he reeled in a large hammerhead shark.

The former Texas A&M defender then posted a photo of him with the shark to his Instagram story, but that post has apparently landed him in some hot water.

The photo in question can be seen below, as it was shared on Twitter by Sports Illustrated:

According to TMZ, animal rights group PETA is upset with Miller’s actions, saying the shark was caught illegally. Also, FWC Public Information Coordinator Rob Klepper said the Fish and Wildlife Commission is looking into the matter:

“FWC has received the images and video and is looking into whether or not a violation occurred in this incident.”

What sort of punishment Miller would face is unknown at this time. However, his fishing days may be over for a while.
