The Denver Broncos could be missing a key defender this season. Reports say Von Miller suffered an injury in practice that could sideline him for the 2020 campaign.

After Ian Rapoport of NFL Media shared the initial report, ESPN’s Adam Schefter offered more details. The NFL Media report described Miller’s injury as being in the “lower-leg.” Schefter reported that the injury is in the ankle. He further added that it was a “freak injury.”

The team fears that it is a season-ending injury for the former Texas A&M standout. The MRI will ultimately help determine Miller’s status.

It has been a rough few months for Miller. He tested positive for coronavirus in mid-April. In May, he called it a “frightening” experience, detailing the impact on his lungs.
