Entering 2020, the SEC East and West are more wide open than they’ve been in recent history.

In the SEC East, Georgia and Florida enter as the favorites; however, Tennessee and Kentucky could make some noise, too. In the SEC West, Alabama has to replace some key pieces on offense and defense, while LSU has to replace Joe Burrow and company. Auburn also has to replace key pieces on its defense.

So, Texas A&M is a team that’s garnering preseason hype. With an experienced quarterback in Kellen Mond, Jimbo Fisher has some key pieces around Mond to win a lot of games, and the schedule sets up really well. Non-conference matchups against Abilene Christian, North Texas, Colorado and Fresno State are very favorable, along with Eastern Divisional opponents South Carolina and Vanderbilt. The Aggies could win 10 regular season games.

SEC Network analyst Cole Cubelic told Paul Finebaum that the Aggies are a team that could breakthrough this year.

The Aggies over/under is set at 9.5, and how divisional games against Alabama, LSU and Auburn will decide whether they can hit the over.
