As Seth Small made the game-winning kick last week against Alabama, a video of his family watching the play went viral in the hours and days after the win.

Small this week reflected on the moment and video in a conversation with “Inside College Footbal.”

“I never really get to watch them when I go out to kick so to see that video and it was so sweet because they know what’s gone into it,” Small told “Inside College Football” per GigEm247. “That’s my support, my high school coach, my dad, and my kicking coach. It’s just so sweet to share that moment with them. I don’t think my mom has watched a kick since I’ve been in college. She always closes her eyes and prays, and my wife is so supportive and she’s my No. 1 fan. You can tell by the video; it was just so sweet to see that.”

Small then shared what he was thinking about before the kick.

“Just contact, trust the process like Coach Fisher tells me every day,” Small said. “Just continue to go out there and do my job. The team had delivered all night on their job, and I just wanted to continue to do mine and get the win. It was just so special to share that with everyone at Kyle Field.”
