Texas A&M is short a defensive back for 2015.

Former three-star defensive back Tavares Garner has transferred, according to 247Sports. He transferred to Henderson State in Arkansas.

Garner played in seven games as a freshman and four as a sophomore, and with the rise of Brandon Williams at cornerback, it was unlikely Garner would play a big role for the defense. Garner’s role may have been limited to special teams.

The Manvel, Tx., product originally signed with TAMU during the 2013 recruiting cycle.
